Dear friends,
I
wish to tell the story of Mr Edward Atkinson (Ted), 81 years of age,
who is almost crippled with arthritis and who has been in prison twice
since 2006 for trying, as did William Wilberforce two hundred years ago,
in fighting slavery, to highlight the evils of abortion. On this
Monday, the 10th September 2012, he was given a third prison sentence
(suspended), but with an ASBO and a tag attached to his ankle which
makes him virtually under household arrest. In order to see relatives
and friends in London he has to apply for written permission. [1]
Ted
has appealed to the consciences of medical staff in hospitals about the
evil of abortion and which would have shocked us twenty or thirty years
ago but which cease to do so today. Teenage girls are increasingly
directed to these killing fields by their teachers, social services and
the National Health, without the knowledge or permission of parents.
THE TRUTH WE CANNOT BEAR TO SEE
Though
there are countless medical documentary television programmes sparing
viewers nothing with regard to the surgical removal of cancers and
unwanted fat, not to mention pornography, pumped through free view TV,
that is nigh impossible to block, it is against the law to transmit
programmes which show the removal of biological ‘tissue, surplus to
requirements’ - as the foetus is described by the abortionists. If these
are really just unwanted ‘products of pregnancy,’ why is there an
outcry when it is viewed in the public domain? The answer is simple:-
‘This
is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved
darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. Everyone who
does evil hates the light, and will not come into the light for fear
that their deeds will be exposed.’ John 3: 19, 20

Abortions
are taking place throughout Britain, at the rate of about 22 every
hour, every day, and every year - and with no slackening of pace. Not
all of us are called to do what Ted and others are doing. But, at the
very least, we need to gaze on these images so that they become so
indelibly printed on our minds that we are forced to cry out for God’s
mercy on our Nation and try to do something about it.
THE COST OF STANDING UP FOR TRUTH, RIGHTEOUSNESS AND THE UNBORN CHILD.
Critics
of campaigners, like Mr Atkinson and those facing trial in Brighton at
this very moment [3 4], say that such protesters should direct their
distressing photographs, not to women entering abortion clinics, but
instead to the appropriate authorities; but Mr Atkinson did this in
2006, at the age of 74, when he first sent Pro – Life literature to the
staff of Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Kings Lynn. [5] Read his own account
of what happened.[6] This resulted in a prison sentence, a five year
ASBO and his hip replacements being struck off the hospital’s waiting
list.[7] The truth is that all objections, no matter how or to whom they
are delivered, are silenced.
A
couple of years after this, he served half of a three month prison
sentence in Norwich prison, amongst thieves and murderers for breaking
his ASBO [8]
SLEEPWALKING TO BARBARISM
This
elderly man, who can barely get around on two legs, ekes out a meagre
existence on his OAP. Recently robbers broke into Edward Atkinson’s
house, intimidated him but the local police gave him no support.
Meanwhile
our justice system has become so corrupt that judges and magistrates
praise criminals for the courage it takes to break into people’s houses.
[9]Derisory sentences are handed out for the most heinous crimes [10]
and murderers in prison are given all manner of privileges [11]
But
we have far to go before we have drunk up to the last dregs from the
bitter cup of humanism, secularism and New Marxism, offered to us daily
by our government. Ann Furedi, head of the British Pregnancy Advisory
Service and cold- blooded murderer, speaks of the need for Eugenics and
the killing of born babies. [12]
HOMOSEXUALITY AND ABORTION
Homosexuals
support abortion, because it destroys the natural paternal and maternal
instincts of men and women and causes sex to become a purposeless
appetite, thereby defeating the argument that marriage is the unique
preserve of men and women. Homosexuals also support abortion, because it
demoralises and corrupts men and women, thus destroying Judeo-
Christian morality.
SILENCING OF WITNESSES
In
the same way that the reality of abortion is kept from the public gaze,
rarely do we hear the voices of those who survived abortion [13, 14],
of the traumatised mothers and fathers who years after having an
abortion continue to have nightmares, over what they have done to their
own child [15] and finally, those abortionists who confess to the real
motives of what they do [16 17]
